Two decades of working with asphalt
Posted on Chao G.Verified Bay Cities Paving completed a new parking project for a self-service laundromat in Wilmington. The quality of the parking work was very good and many of the road damages were repaired. Many customers praised the work after seeing it. We sincerely thank them for their work.Posted on Alex S.Verified We are an HOA in Dana Point, Ca. Recently, we had Bay Cities re-seal our streets. They did a great job. On time starting their work, polite workers and very approachable. They were not the lowest of our 6 bids, but the best value for money. If a company gives you a price that is much lower than the others, beware. There must be a reason for it. And read the fine print. When a company says, "to remove up to 2 inches of asphalt to fix cracks", it sound good. But, when you think about it, that could mean just an of an inch, which will allow a crack to reappear in 6 months. Our neighboring HOA did exactly that and are now regretting it. Thank you Alan of Bay Cities Paving. We are happy to share our experience with othersPosted on Lisa D.Verified Alan and his team are great to work with, and do excellent work. They are also fast and very responsive. I cannot say enough nice things about them. I have used them a couple of times over the years and will continue to do so. Very pleased! Thank you BCP!Posted on diana k.Verified Cannot say enough great things about Alan, Michelle and their team. The team resealed a 40 year old driveway for my mom. From the very first interaction to ask for a quote, the team was fast, responsive and professional. Their quote was by far the best value but also the most detailed as far as the competition. Michelle was so communicative on text, phone, and email. They sent over copies of their business license, workers comp, and a contract. I had full faith in them from the first conversation and they did not disappoint. Thank you!Posted on Sami A.Verified BCP repaved the parking lots of two of our commercial properties. When the work didn't quite turn out as we expected, Alan was extremely responsive and willing to redo a portion of it. He was fantastic to work with as he is flexible and was able to exceed our expectations. We will definitely be calling him again when the need arises!Posted on Ken G.Verified We hired Bay Cities Paving to regrade a difficult spot outside of a commercial property we own in Torrance. We've had flooding problems there for years, and another paver had failed to fix the problem before. Bay Cities did a great job and even with all the rain we've just had, no flooding! Water is now running off toward the drain, as it should. In addition to doing good work, Alan was responsive, attentive, prompt and courteous. Will be using them again for other projects, for sure.Posted on Adriana P.Verified Bay Cities Paving recoated our business's parking lot and patio along with a resurface. Alan and the team are professional, quick to respond and did a fabulous job. Friendly, communicative and great prices! We were given a proper quote with full details and all information pertaining to the company with terms and conditions along with references. They were able to schedule the work soon after and everything was done well and in the time quoted. I highly recommend using them as we surely will again here at Baur Films, Inc!Posted on Robin M.Verified So happy we went with Bay City Paving to do the driveway for our rental. An awesome job and a great guy! Alan is a great personality! So personable, we feel like we've known him forever! But what I really like is that he's so professional! The scope of work is detailed and also shows license, insurance, Etc. Very detailed information and I LOVE that when it comes to any construction job. Thanks Alan, we are both happy with finished driveway and sure our tenant will be also, when he returns from his Coast Guard duties. Go with Bay City Paving Inc. You'll be happy you did!!!!!Posted on Marlon W.Verified I must say...Bay City Paving is great! I must say I shopped around quite a bit. Alan is very informative. No pressure. Let alone came down to provide me with a free estimate in a timely matter. 1-2 days lead time, while others took over a week just to respond. We have an automotive repair shop that needed a new 2 post lift. Alan and his crew work quick with no time to spare. One day job. Got us in the following week. If not same week. Let alone are these guys great. I needed a bit more work. With no hesitation. The guys took care of me. No question asked. They went the extra mile without charging me a dime. Thanks again Alan and his crew. I am your customer for life!Posted on Barry H.Verified If I could give 6 stars, I would. My project was repair of some large cracks and heaving of a sloped driveway. I got 4 estimates. BCP was in the middle as to price. BCP's estimate however was the most complete and thorough document I've ever seen for this type of thing. The estimate went over exactly what was to be done, but also went into great detail about things that might be found during the job which would require an increased cost. Alan noted that when they got into the job, the old cement and rebar was much thicker than expected and required different equipment to remove. The job was completed the next day and the final cost was exactly the estimate cost. Job crew were wonderful and I would use them again for any work in the future. I give them my highest recommendation without reservation!

Your Trusted Local Asphalt Experts in Rolling Hills Estates
Rolling Hills Estates has a certain charm, doesn’t it? You’ve got those wide streets, beautiful properties with long driveways, and the kind of neighborhood where people actually care about how things look. Whether you’re near Peninsula Center or tucked up by the horse trails off Palos Verdes Drive, your property matters.
And here’s the thing about asphalt in this area. It takes a beating. The sun is relentless. Those beautiful mature trees? Their roots don’t always play nice with driveways. Add in the fact that many properties here have steep grades or tight access points, and you need someone who really knows what they’re doing.
That’s where we come in. Bay Cities Paving has been serving South Bay communities for over three decades, and we know Rolling Hills Estates inside and out. From replacing old cracked driveways to resurfacing private roads, we’ve handled it all. Need help with your project? Check out our work at Bay Cities Paving to see what we can do for you.
About Bay Cities Paving
We’re Bay Cities Paving, and honestly, we’re just really good at what we do. Asphalt work is our specialty, but over the years we’ve become kind of a one stop shop for property owners in Rolling Hills Estates who need serious work done right.
Our main thing? Asphalt. Driveways, parking lots, private roads, you name it. But we also handle demolition when you need that old concrete ripped out first. We do excavation work for proper grading and drainage. Sometimes you need construction support for bigger projects. And yeah, we can handle junk removal too because let’s face it, demo work creates a mess.
When you work with us in Rolling Hills Estates, you’re getting a crew that understands this neighborhood. We know about the HOA standards near Silver Spur. We’ve worked on properties along Crenshaw and up near the Portuguese Bend area. Your neighbors have probably already used us.
We Know Rolling Hills Estates Projects
Here’s what we see a lot in your neighborhood. Long, sloping driveways that need complete replacement because the asphalt has just given up after 20 years. Private roads shared by a few properties that desperately need resurfacing. Parking areas for horse properties that need something durable but also attractive.
We did a project last summer for a family on Crest Road. Their driveway had tree roots pushing through everywhere, and water was pooling near the garage. Not good. We excavated properly, fixed the drainage issues, and laid fresh asphalt that actually slopes the right way now. They were thrilled.
Another customer near Ridgegate called us because their tennis court pad needed work before resurfacing. That’s the kind of prep work we handle all the time. The excavation, the grading, making sure everything is level and solid before the finish work happens.
“These guys showed up on time, worked clean, and my new driveway looks incredible. Best decision we made for our property this year.” That’s from a recent client, and honestly, it never gets old hearing that kind of feedback.
Our team is licensed, insured, and trained on the latest techniques. Safety is huge for us. We’re not cutting corners on your property.
Where We Work in Rolling Hills Estates
We cover all of Rolling Hills Estates and the surrounding areas. If you’re near Peninsula Center off Hawthorne Boulevard, we’re there regularly. Properties along Silver Spur Road? Absolutely. Up near the border with Rolling Hills or down toward Torrance? We’ve got you covered.
We know the cross streets. Crenshaw Boulevard, Palos Verdes Drive North, Eastfield Drive. The neighborhoods off Crest and Ridgegate. Even the more tucked away properties that require some creative navigation to reach.
This isn’t our first time working in an area with unique access challenges or strict community standards. We get it. Your neighborhood has expectations, and we meet them. You can find us on Google Maps to see our service area and get directions.
Rolling Hills Estates Asphalt Tips
Let me share something useful. Timing matters here. Summer is when asphalt cures best, but it’s also when everyone wants work done. Book early if you can.
Parking can be interesting in some parts of Rolling Hills Estates, especially on narrower private roads. We plan ahead for that. We bring exactly what we need and stage everything thoughtfully so we’re not blocking anyone unnecessarily.
Some properties here have steep grades. That affects how we approach paving. The mix has to be right, the compaction has to be perfect, or you’ll have problems down the road. We’ve done enough of these hills to know exactly how to handle it.
Also, if you’ve got mature landscaping near your driveway, we protect it. Seriously. We’re not going to mess up your established plants or irrigation while we work. That stuff matters in this neighborhood.
Once your new asphalt is in, proper maintenance keeps it looking great for years. Regular sealcoating and quick attention to small cracks makes a huge difference. Learn more about asphalt maintenance methods that professional contractors use to extend the life of your pavement.
Trust, Quality, and Community
Bay Cities Paving is a family owned business that’s been serving the South Bay for 30 years. When you call us, you’re talking to people who’ve built their reputation here in Lomita and Torrance. This is home for us too.
We guarantee our work. If something isn’t right, we make it right. Simple as that. Our crews show up when they say they will, they work efficiently, and they clean up afterward. You shouldn’t have to babysit a contractor.
We’ve done work for schools, businesses, and hundreds of homeowners throughout Rolling Hills Estates. We sponsor local events when we can and we genuinely care about these communities. It’s not just marketing talk. We live here. We raise our families here.
Every project gets the same attention whether it’s a small repair or a complete parking lot renovation. Quality work is quality work, and we don’t do it any other way.
People tell us they appreciate how we communicate. No confusing jargon. No surprise charges. Just honest estimates and reliable service from start to finish.

Common Questions About Asphalt Services in Rolling Hills Estates
Do you handle jobs in tight or busy areas of Rolling Hills Estates?
Yes, absolutely. We’ve worked on properties with challenging access points, narrow driveways, and situations where space is limited. We plan it out and make it work.
How fast can you provide asphalt services in Rolling Hills Estates?
Usually within a week or two for most projects, depending on our schedule and the scope of work. Smaller repairs can sometimes happen even faster. We’ll give you a realistic timeline upfront.
Do you work near Peninsula Center and along Hawthorne Boulevard?
All the time. That’s a major part of our service area and we know those properties well. Commercial and residential both.
How do you handle local challenges like parking or steep driveways?
We’ve been doing this long enough to anticipate problems before they happen. Steep grades require specific techniques. Limited parking means careful staging. We figure it out ahead of time.
Do you offer same day or next day service in Rolling Hills Estates?
For emergency repairs, sometimes yes. For full paving projects, we need a bit more time to schedule properly. But we move as quickly as we can without rushing the quality.
What types of asphalt projects do you do in this area?
Everything from residential driveways and private roads to commercial parking lots. Repairs, resurfacing, complete replacements. We also handle the prep work like demolition and excavation.
Can you work around my schedule?
We try to be flexible. If you need us there at a specific time or want to avoid certain days, just let us know. We’ll do our best to accommodate.
What about permits and regulations?
We’re familiar with local requirements. If permits are needed, we can guide you through that process. Most residential driveway work doesn’t require permits, but we’ll let you know either way.
Do you handle HOA requirements?
Yes. We understand that some properties in Rolling Hills Estates have homeowner association standards. We make sure the work meets those requirements.
How long will my new asphalt last?
With proper installation and reasonable maintenance, you’re looking at 15 to 20 years or more. It depends on usage and climate exposure, but we build things to last. Regular servicing and maintenance by experienced asphalt contractors can significantly extend that lifespan.
