Asphalt Contractor in Marble Estates, CA
Two decades of working with asphalt
Posted onChao G.Verified Bay Cities Paving completed a new parking project for a self-service laundromat in Wilmington. The quality of the parking work was very good and many of the road damages were repaired. Many customers praised the work after seeing it. We sincerely thank them for their work.Posted onAlex S.Verified We are an HOA in Dana Point, Ca. Recently, we had Bay Cities re-seal our streets. They did a great job. On time starting their work, polite workers and very approachable. They were not the lowest of our 6 bids, but the best value for money. If a company gives you a price that is much lower than the others, beware. There must be a reason for it. And read the fine print. When a company says, "to remove up to 2 inches of asphalt to fix cracks", it sound good. But, when you think about it, that could mean just an of an inch, which will allow a crack to reappear in 6 months. Our neighboring HOA did exactly that and are now regretting it. Thank you Alan of Bay Cities Paving. We are happy to share our experience with othersPosted onLisa D.Verified Alan and his team are great to work with, and do excellent work. They are also fast and very responsive. I cannot say enough nice things about them. I have used them a couple of times over the years and will continue to do so. Very pleased! Thank you BCP!Posted ondiana k.Verified Cannot say enough great things about Alan, Michelle and their team. The team resealed a 40 year old driveway for my mom. From the very first interaction to ask for a quote, the team was fast, responsive and professional. Their quote was by far the best value but also the most detailed as far as the competition. Michelle was so communicative on text, phone, and email. They sent over copies of their business license, workers comp, and a contract. I had full faith in them from the first conversation and they did not disappoint. Thank you!Posted onSami A.Verified BCP repaved the parking lots of two of our commercial properties. When the work didn't quite turn out as we expected, Alan was extremely responsive and willing to redo a portion of it. He was fantastic to work with as he is flexible and was able to exceed our expectations. We will definitely be calling him again when the need arises!Posted onKen G.Verified We hired Bay Cities Paving to regrade a difficult spot outside of a commercial property we own in Torrance. We've had flooding problems there for years, and another paver had failed to fix the problem before. Bay Cities did a great job and even with all the rain we've just had, no flooding! Water is now running off toward the drain, as it should. In addition to doing good work, Alan was responsive, attentive, prompt and courteous. Will be using them again for other projects, for sure.Posted onAdriana P.Verified Bay Cities Paving recoated our business's parking lot and patio along with a resurface. Alan and the team are professional, quick to respond and did a fabulous job. Friendly, communicative and great prices! We were given a proper quote with full details and all information pertaining to the company with terms and conditions along with references. They were able to schedule the work soon after and everything was done well and in the time quoted. I highly recommend using them as we surely will again here at Baur Films, Inc!Posted onRobin M.Verified So happy we went with Bay City Paving to do the driveway for our rental. An awesome job and a great guy! Alan is a great personality! So personable, we feel like we've known him forever! But what I really like is that he's so professional! The scope of work is detailed and also shows license, insurance, Etc. Very detailed information and I LOVE that when it comes to any construction job. Thanks Alan, we are both happy with finished driveway and sure our tenant will be also, when he returns from his Coast Guard duties. Go with Bay City Paving Inc. You'll be happy you did!!!!!Posted onMarlon W.Verified I must say...Bay City Paving is great! I must say I shopped around quite a bit. Alan is very informative. No pressure. Let alone came down to provide me with a free estimate in a timely matter. 1-2 days lead time, while others took over a week just to respond. We have an automotive repair shop that needed a new 2 post lift. Alan and his crew work quick with no time to spare. One day job. Got us in the following week. If not same week. Let alone are these guys great. I needed a bit more work. With no hesitation. The guys took care of me. No question asked. They went the extra mile without charging me a dime. Thanks again Alan and his crew. I am your customer for life!Posted onBarry H.Verified If I could give 6 stars, I would. My project was repair of some large cracks and heaving of a sloped driveway. I got 4 estimates. BCP was in the middle as to price. BCP's estimate however was the most complete and thorough document I've ever seen for this type of thing. The estimate went over exactly what was to be done, but also went into great detail about things that might be found during the job which would require an increased cost. Alan noted that when they got into the job, the old cement and rebar was much thicker than expected and required different equipment to remove. The job was completed the next day and the final cost was exactly the estimate cost. Job crew were wonderful and I would use them again for any work in the future. I give them my highest recommendation without reservation!

Marble Estates is one of those Lomita neighborhoods where you really notice the driveways. Big homes, nice yards, and plenty of curb appeal. People here take pride in their properties, and honestly, that starts right at the street.
You’ve got families who’ve lived here for decades. Quiet streets. Mature trees lining the sidewalks. It’s close enough to PCH that you can get anywhere fast, but tucked away enough that it still feels like home. And if you’re a homeowner in Marble Estates, you already know that your driveway sees a lot of action. Between daily use, California sun, and the occasional heavy rain, asphalt needs attention.
That’s where we come in. Bay Cities Paving has been helping folks in Lomitaand the surrounding neighborhoods keep their properties looking sharp for three decades. We’re not some big corporate outfit. We’re a local, family owned business that’s been doing this since way before smartphones were even a thing.

About Bay Cities Paving
We’ve been working in the South Bay for 30 years now. Started small, stayed local, and built our reputation one driveway at a time.
Our main focus? Asphalt paving. That means new driveways, parking lot installations, repairs, resurfacing, and sealcoating. But we also handle demolition work when old concrete needs to come out first. Sometimes a project needs excavation to get the base right. And yeah, we do construction projects too. If there’s debris or old materials that need hauling away, we’ve got junk removal covered.
So whether you need a brand new driveway poured in Marble Estates or you’re dealing with cracks and potholes that have gotten out of hand, we can handle it. We work in tight residential spaces. We know how to protect your landscaping. And we clean up when we’re done because, well, that’s just how it should be.

Why Marble Estates Homes Need Quality Paving
Let’s be real for a second. Your driveway is probably one of the first things people see when they pull up to your house. Cracks? Fading? Uneven patches? That stuff stands out. And not in a good way.
But it’s not just about looks. Damaged asphalt can get worse fast. Water seeps in. Cracks spread. Before you know it, you’re looking at a bigger repair bill than if you’d just handled it early.
We’ve done hundreds of projects in this area. Most common thing we see? Driveways that are 15, 20, sometimes 25 years old and just worn out. The sun bakes them. Rain finds every weak spot. Tree roots push up from below. It happens.
Good news is that fresh asphalt makes a massive difference. It’s smoother, it looks cleaner, and it actually protects your property value. Plus, you don’t have to worry about tripping hazards or water pooling near your garage anymore.
What We Do in Marble Estates
Most of our work here involves residential driveways. Some folks want a complete replacement. Others just need repairs or a fresh sealcoat to extend the life of what they’ve got.
We’ve also worked on small parking areas, RV pads, and pathways. One customer had us redo the whole approach to their garage because the slope wasn’t draining right. Another wanted their side yard paved for extra parking. Every property is different.
Here’s what one homeowner told us after we finished their driveway last year: “I was nervous about the mess, but these guys were so careful with my roses and the lawn. The driveway looks incredible and they finished faster than I expected.”
Another customer said: “Finally fixed those cracks that were driving me crazy. Should’ve called sooner.”
We’re licensed, insured, and our crew knows what they’re doing. Safety matters. Quality matters. And showing up when we say we will? That matters too.
Serving Marble Estates and Nearby
We cover all of Lomita, Torrance, and the surrounding South Bay neighborhoods. If you’re in Marble Estates, we’re about 10 minutes away on most days.
You’re right near Narbonne Avenue and not far from Pacific Coast Highway. We know the streets around here. Palos Verdes Drive curves around to the west. Delaware Street runs nearby. We’ve worked on Cypress Street, Oak Street, all through this area really.
Some homes here have those long driveways that wind up a bit of a slope. Others are flat and straight. We’ve done both. And we know that parking can get tight when we’re working, so we plan around that.
Local Tips for Marble Estates Homeowners
Timing matters
Summer is our busy season because the weather’s perfect for asphalt. If you can plan your project for spring or fall, you’ll usually get faster scheduling.
Street parking during work
Most driveways here take one to two days, depending on size. You’ll need to park on the street during that time. We always give you a heads up about timing.
Protect your investment
Once your new asphalt is down, wait 24 hours before driving on it. After about six months, get it sealcoated. That adds years to the life of your driveway. And here’s something interesting: asphalt is actually one of the world’s most recycled materials, which means quality asphalt can be reused and repurposed, making it both durable and environmentally smart.
Watch for drainage
This neighborhood is pretty flat, but water still needs somewhere to go. We make sure your driveway slopes slightly toward the street so rain doesn’t pool up near your house.
Why Marble Estates Residents Trust Us
Experience of three decades
We’ve been family owned and operated for three decades. That’s not a corporate slogan. That’s just the truth. Same family, same values, same commitment to doing the job right.
Our guarantees are simple. We use quality materials. We prep the surface properly. And if something’s not right, we fix it.
Safety is our Priority
Safety is huge for us. We section off work areas. We keep kids and pets in mind. And we always leave your property cleaner than we found it. No random asphalt chunks in your flower beds. No tire marks on your grass.
Some of our crew have been with us for over a decade. They’re not just workers. They’re neighbors. A few of them actually live right here in the South Bay.
We care about this community. We’ve paved driveways for teachers, nurses, small business owners, retirees. We’ve come back years later to do touch up work for families we worked with before. That’s the kind of business we want to be.

Marble Estates FAQ

Absolutely. Some driveways here are tucked between homes or have tricky access. We’ve done it all. Our crew knows how to work in tight spaces without damaging your property.
How fast can you provide asphalt paving services in Marble Estates?
Most residential driveways take one to two days once we start. Smaller repairs can sometimes be done in half a day. We’ll give you a clear timeline when we quote your project.
Do you work near Narbonne Avenue and the surrounding streets?
Yes. We’ve worked all through this neighborhood. Narbonne, Delaware, streets off PCH, you name it. We know the area well.
How do you handle parking and access during the job?
We coordinate with you ahead of time. Usually you’ll park on the street while we work. If you have multiple cars or special needs, just let us know and we’ll figure it out.
Do you offer same day or next day service in Marble Estates?
For emergencies like a major pothole or safety issue, we’ll do our best to get someone out fast. Full installations need to be scheduled, but repairs can often happen quicker.
What types of asphalt projects do you do in this area?
Driveways are the big one. But we also handle parking pads, RV spaces, pathway paving, and repairs of all sizes. If it’s asphalt, we can probably help.
Do I need a permit for driveway work in Lomita?
Sometimes, depending on the scope. We can walk you through that when we meet. For most standard driveway replacements, permits are straightforward.
How long will my new asphalt last?
With proper maintenance, you’re looking at 20 to 30 years. Sealcoating every few years really helps extend that lifespan.
What happens if it rains right after you finish?
We watch the weather closely. Fresh asphalt needs a day or so to cure. If rain’s in the forecast, we’ll reschedule or work around it. We won’t risk your project.
Can you match my driveway to my neighbor’s if we want them to look similar?
Sure thing. We can talk about finishes and make sure everything flows nicely if you’re coordinating with folks next door.
